Weight Loss Tips #1

When it comes to losing weight, sometimes just a few simple changes in what you consume can make all the difference.

I am going to share a few tips with you which will not only assist with weight loss, but will also energise you and promote an overall sense of wellbeing.

This post is all about what you DRINK…

Tip 1 : Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day

Many people confuse thirst for hunger. Keep yourself well hydrated and you will notice that you don’t need to snack as much. You will also have more energy so you will burn more calories throughout your day. Drinking lots of water has also been proven to boost your metabolism as your body needs to be well hydrated for all your organs to function properly. Dehydration causes the body to slow down and prohibits the fat burning process, whereas drinking¬†6-8 glasses of water a day will keep you nicely hydrated and burning fat

My advice is just try it – you will feel great! (Please note, squash does not count as water. Although it contains mostly water, the sugar (or sweetener) will actually dehydrate you. Water means water!)

Tip 2. Eliminate alcohol & caffeine from your diet for 6 weeks

While this might be tough for some people, it’s a great way to shed those extra pounds. Besides the empty calories that are so easily consumed when drinking alcoholic beverages, we all know the feeling the next day if you have had a few too many, and how easy it is to gorge on unhealthy food to try and make yourself feel better. Cut out the drink and you will find it much easier to maintain your healthy eating habits.

Although caffeine is often said to help with weight loss, many people drink caffeinated drinks instead of water, leading to dehydration. Try cutting it out of your diet altogether and reach for the water instead.

Tip 3. Discover the benefits of authentic herbal teas.

There are a wide range of herbal teas to help with weight loss and improve your overall health. They can boost your metabolism, burn calories, suppress your appetite and detox the system. Try Green Tea, or Redbush. If you have a sweet tooth Redbush Vanilla is a great alternative. Check out this article for more ideas of teas to try.

Making small changes in your habits will eventually all add up and transform you into a slimmer, healthier, happier version of yourself. So why not start right now by pouring yourself a glass of water…it couldn’t be easier!
